1. What photograph type, size and file size is accepted in my listing?

Photograph Type:
All pictures uploaded for use in your listing must be in jpeg/jpg format

Photograph Size:
Pictures must be between 300 x 300 pixels and 1024 x 768 pixels in size.
All pictures will be automatically resized and optimized to ensure a consistent display throughout the website.

Photograph File Size:
We recommend that the file size for each picture is less than 1 mb this will ensure that your pictures will upload quicker.

If your pictures are larger than 1 mb you can still upload them but it will take longer to upload.

Please do not upload pictures that are larger than 3mb.

2. How many photograph can I display in my listing?

You can display up to 12 photographs in your listing.

3. What is the cost of listing on What Florida Villa (WFV)

It is free to advertising your property on What Florida Villa.
You only pay when you receive a confirmed booking.
No booking --> No Fee.

4. Can I use HTML in my listing?

No you cannot use HTML in your listing.

5. Why do I have to keep my availability/rates calendar up to date.

Property availability will be determined by the owner's availability calendar. Owners must ensure that their availability calendar is kept up to date and is updated immediately after acceptance of any bookings. The availability calendar must be updated when bookings are accepted out with What Florida Villa (WFV) including their own vacations.
This is very important. This will prevent booking requests being sent when availability is not there.
Our "Search by Availability" and "Booking Procedure" queries your calendar information to obtain accurate searches and costs. It is therefore very important that you keep the calendar up to date at all times.
This will be strictly enforced. Any owners who do not follow this procedure will result in their property being removed from the website without notice.

6. If I edit any information in my listing how long will it take to update?

Updates will appear immediately.

7. Can I list multiple properties?

Yes you can - You must own all the holiday homes that you are advertising.

8. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards and cheque.
We use PayPal® as our payment processor.

9. How do I alter information in my listing?

To alter information in your listing just log into you account. Select the "Manage Villa" link. You will then be able to alter any of the information in your listing.

11. Tips for adding your FAQ brief and description text to your villa listing

We would recommend that you have all your text prepared in a word doc or similar prior to adding your text in the FAQ, brief and description pages. This will prevent the system logging you out if you take to long typing out your information.

12. Having trouble uploading your pictures?

The solution to the most common problems during picture upload are as follows.

1. Ensure your pictures are jpeg format.
2. Pictures must be between 300 x 300 and 1024 x 768 pixels in size.
3. Pictures must be less than 3mb.
4. Ensure that the name of your image is not to long, be concise.
5. Ensure that the name of your image does not contain any special characters, for example * ( ) " / %.

13. I don't want to use my availability calendar can i still advertise my property on What Florida Villa.

No. You have to update your availabilty calendar as soon as you receive a confirmed booking.

The basis of our website is to supply accurate search results for villa seekers. We believe that by delivering accurate searches to our villa seekers will increase the confirmed booking rates for our villa owners.
We have spent a lot of time and money perfecting the search facility on the website to do just that. There are too many websites out there that just don’t deliver that accuracy.

14. How do I add my property to the Late Availabilty pages?

You will now be able to access this area from the owner admin panel. In Manage Villa area the new link is clearly marked as Late Availability. In this new area you will be able to post your late availability offers. You will be able to add or remove these offers at anytime.

Please remove your offer if you receive a confirmed booking.
The late offer offer will automatically be removed when the end date expires. Example: 1st December 2007 to 21st December 2007 this offer will be automatically removed on the 22nd December 2007.

15. Why is the security deposit separate from the total cost shown in the booking summary?

We didn’t want to include the security deposit in the total cost as our booking fee is calculated from the total cost. If we included the security deposit then we would have taken a percentage of that as part of our booking fee.

Hence why we choose too leave it separate.

16. Why can't I have my contact information in my listing and Terms and Conditions?

As per our terms and conditions you cannot post any contact information of any type in any part of your listing including your own terms and conditions sections. This ensures that any bookings generated from WFV go through the WFV booking process.
